課程概述 |
本課程適合初級以上程度的學習者，也就是至少學習完《實用視聽華語1》，能掌握400個以上中文詞彙量，或是在臺灣中文學習總時數100-120 小時 (或在其他國家地區達200-240小時) 的學生，或已通過臺灣TOCFL華語文能力測驗準備級或HSK漢語水平考試第1級的學生。
本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。
1. This course is suitable for learners at the elementary level or above, specifically those who have completed 'Practical Audio-Visual Chinese 1' or possess a vocabulary of at least 400 Chinese words. It is also intended for students who have accumulated 100-120 hours of total Chinese language learning time in Taiwan (or 200-240 hours in other countries), or for those who have passed the Taiwan TOCFL Chinese Language Proficiency Test at the Preparatory Level or achieved Level 1 in the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test."
2. This course will be conducted mainly in Chinese. English will be used only when referring to basic grammar principles and relevant key points.

2. Learn how to appropriately use Chinese to get acquainted with others and introduce oneself.

課程要求 |
1.課程參與：學生應準時出席每一堂課，且課前準備好課程內容。
Class Participation: Students must attend all regularly scheduled classes and activities. Further, students should come prepared to participate fully and be prepared to demonstrate concepts presented in the assigned reading. Students should be on time for all classes.
學生應準時上課，遲到早退或上課不專心將影響成績。病假或特殊情形，例如：喪假，得以准假。第三次無故缺席將扣總成績的 2%。遲到或早退超過 5 分鐘將視為缺課。
2. Attendance on time is mandatory. Being late, leaving early, or not paying attention will also affect your grade. After the THIRD unexcused absence from class, 2% of your final grade will be deducted each time. Excused absences are granted for documented medical reasons and unusual circumstances such as family death. Missing more than 15 minutes of a class period, whether from lateness or leaving early, counts as an unexcused absence. Attendance grades will be given based on the following rules:
2 = Coming to class on time
1 = Late for class (under 5 mins)
0 = Absent
功課與指定作業：老師會在課堂上交代功課,請同學準時繳交作業，作業需課前完成。除了依規定請假者得以補交作業，其餘遲交的作業將不計分。
Homework and assignments
Homework assignments will be announced in class. Please submit your homework on time to receive full credit and note that all homework will be due in class. No credit will be given for late work unless excused.
隨堂測驗：一共6次使用手機的隨堂測驗
Unit Tests: Conduct 6 in-class quizzes using mobile phones.
期中考：筆試
Midterm Examination: Written Exam
The written exam will cover grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary.
期末考：筆試和口頭報告
Final Examination: Written and Oral Presentation.
上課禮儀：請勿飲食

使用的教材為《實用視聽華語一》(第7課~第12課)，盼學生能兼顧「聽說讀寫」四方面的語言能力，使學生生活不因語言不通而有障礙，並期望學生能透過課程進一步了解華語及台灣文化。
This course uses the textbook “Practical Audio-Visual Chinese I” (chapter 7~12) to help students develop proficient language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing that would enable them to communicate effectively in their daily lives. Through the course, students will further understand Taiwanese culture and language.
